Change is a continuous effort

I want to leave a quick reminder for anyone trying to make a change.

Change is a continuous effort.

The biggest mistake I often see when someone decides to change is that they think it happens in that moment. Because they have decided, because they’ve made a proclamation the change will happen.

“I’m going to take better care of myself”

“I will start exercising”

“I’m going to stop drinking wine”

I’m sure you can imagine a few more examples. If you have decided to make a change, remember that you will need to continue to make that decision over and over again. Think of change as a continuous effort. When you decide to change be ready to face those habits you’re trying to change and make the conscience decision, make that decision again right then to change.

If you have decided to make a change, remember that you will need to continue to make that decision over and over again.

A rabbit hole...

I'm going to start talking about things I'm wildly not qualified to talk about, I'm hesitant because it's a huge topic and a massive rabbit hole. This is my truth currently, right now, I'm more than open to look back on this and say I was wrong. But this is my biggest and most important message…

Your weight is not your worth.

The scale does not dictate your worth.

Your body fat percentage is not your worth.

The reflection in the mirror is not your worth.

The way you look does not determine your worth.

Try not to let anyone shame you for not looking the way they think you should look.

What you need to understand to start losing weight and why

For weight loss. There are a lot of different diets out there, but they all have something in common. They all start with food. They all manage food.

For weight loss, all diets work by controlling how much you eat. All diets work by controlling your caloric/energy intake, how much you eat. We will revisit different diets in more detail, but if all diets start with food, we should too.
